We founded Helikon over 30 years ago, and from the outset, we were guided by a vision that has become even more relevant today: creating modern, inspiring work spaces that are, above all, optimized for the real needs of companies. We were the first in Poland to introduce an office space audit and create offices based on the real needs and operating methods of companies.

As Analizy Online and KupFundusz.pl grew, the existing space occupied by both companies becarne insufficient. All desks were occupied, leaving no room for a new employee, limiting further staff developrnent at both companies. It was also significant that the office design, to put ił mildly, was nothing to brag about. While working with Helikon, we incorporated elements that individually referenced each office area and iłs departments, making ił easy for us to navigate the space. We believe we succeeded in designing a user experience and conveying the company’s values in the work environment. We prioritized modernity and creativity.

In the first phase, the most challenging part was finding a compromise between the possibilities, leťs call them technical ones—limitations in the form of the number of square meters we could rent—and our needs and dreams for our new office. Both at this stage and in subsequent phases, our collaboration with Helikon yielded a very satisfactory result The new office was a surprise, above all, with iłs spatial arrangement. I mean the functionality we achieved by utilizing almost every square meter, while rnaintaining a sense of openness and incorporating modern technical solutions and interior design. Yes. The work environment influences work efficiency. It has intangible dimensions, such as work organization, management model, and organizational culture. It also has a tangible dimension. These are the spaces in which we perform our tasks independently and collaboratively. A workspace may be ill-suited to the tasks at hand, for example, it may be noisy, and the chairs and furniture may be uncomfortable. Will it be easy to focus on work that requires full concentration? Can a team without a suitable meeting space effectively implement collaborative projects? Can a manager be a good leader if they lack appropriate conditions for meeting with their employees? Yes, we know, you shouldn't answer a question with a question. We wrote about this because we've heard so many employee complaints that the workplace hinders task completion instead of facilitating it.
Since we've been working remotely, from home, we're increasingly hearing that having the right space allows us to work much more effectively. This usually applies to individual tasks. The vast majority of us also perform tasks based on team collaboration. This, in turn, has suffered greatly in the distributed model. Despite many new technologies facilitating remote communication, the strength of our organizations stems from the synergy of teamwork. Synergy is often illustrated by the equation that 1 + 1 in individual work equals 2, but in teamwork, 1 + 1 = 11. So what if we're individually even 20% more productive? Then 1.2 + 1.2 = 2.4, but that's less than 11? Achieving full team synergy without physical contact is very difficult, if not impossible. Therefore, for a company's successful results, it's essential to create a new office model – a hybrid office – that will encourage and enable full team collaboration and synergy.
